Council 2 buys Olympia office building

COUNCIL 2 has bought a building to house its Olympia offices.

The Council 2 Building Corp. is in the final stages of closing on the building, which will be completed by January and is situated between the Capitol Mall and the Thurston County Courthouse. It will be one of eight similar buildings at 2102 Carriage Drive in Olympia.

The purchase brings to three the number of buildings in the state that Council 2 Building Corp. has purchased to house its staff representatives. The union bought its Everett office building 14 years ago, the Spokane building 12 years ago and now is buying an Olympia building.

“The offices will be used to house our Olympia staff from now and far into the future,” says Council 2 President/Executive Director Chris Dugovich.

“Just as it makes sense for the members to buy their own homes rather than rent, the same is true with our office space.”
