Charla Mayo Jodi Bullock 307CO Clark County

A Note from Charla

First and foremost, I would like to thank Council 2 for this scholarship award. I cannot express how much this means to me and my family. I have been accepted into the honors college this fall at Washington State University where I will be majoring in Animal Sciences/Pre-Veterinarian. While my mom works in Clark County, WA, we reside in Oregon. The annual scholarship of $5,000 greatly reduces my out-of-state tuition. Thanks to your scholarship foundation I no longer need to take out a loan for my freshman year of college.
Again, Thank you!!!

Sincerely,
Charla Mayo

AFSCME Scholarship Committee,

I was so happy to receive a scholarship through my mom’s union. This generous gift will help me immensely in my future academic pursuits. I am planning on attending Western Washington University and majoring in Environmental Studies, with a hope of impacting substantial change that works for both social and ecological systems. Your generosity will lessen the burden of paying for college and allow me to focus on my goals. I’m so grateful for your kindness and commitment to helping students like me.

Thanks again,
Kiana Oos
